About the Game
“Exotic Poker” is a free game where you can play various types of poker, including Texas Hold’em, against NPCs (AI). Unlike games where you bet cash or in-game currency (such as points in social games), the chips used in poker are replenished with each game and can be set to any value. Therefore, this game is recommended for those who want to enjoy poker purely as a game without spending money.
Regarding poker rules, you can play games with standard pre-defined rules (such as Texas Hold’em and Omaha), but you can also customize the rules of your own games. You can customize the rules of games in various ways, such as limiting your hand to three cards, adding a joker as a wild card, or limiting the betting rounds to two, etc. You can enjoy watching the NPC (AI) behavior respond to the game you have customized and playing the games against NPCs (AI).
The Origin of the Name “Exotic Poker”
The name of the game, “Exotic Poker,” comes from the term “Exotic Derivatives,” which refers to derivative transactions of financial products that have customized and complex contractual clauses. We call the game “Exotic Poker”, because it’s a game where you can play poker with customized and complex rules.
Future Update Policy
While the application has been released as a completed product for now, the service provider intends to continue expanding its functionality going forward. Specifically, we are considering updates such as the following.
- UI/UX Improvements
- Expanding the game’s rule representation capabilities (enhancing the game settings screen functionality)
- Addition and expansion of NPC (AI) player decision-making algorithms
- Extension of the Clone AI Model (which mimics player strategies) to utilize statistical models and machine learning algorithms
- Addition of a customized game screen for easily creating training data for Clone AI (a screen enabling quick input of decisions in pre-set or randomly generated situations)
- Multiplayer Feature Expansion (Hosting regular MTTs and (artificial) large-scale MTTs using AI bots, adding MTT-specific settings like selectable table rebalancing algorithms, saving/displaying HUD information (win rate per game, VPIP, participation count), enabling Clone AI Model usage instead of manual control (allowing idle play using trained Clone AI))
- Quality improvements (peripheral feature refinements and bug fixes)
- Addition of supported languages and refinement of translations (covering languages supported by Google Translate and DeepL)
- App development for other platforms (iOS version), device change support (anonymous ID mapping functionality)
